Description

Muahaha! Finally, it's done! A last hoorah for my love of the poison type and a return of a long-lost OC trainer of mine.

good god though, I realise now why less people use Drapion in OCTs like this. That pokemon is tricky to draw.

Here we go! Wall o' text time!

:iconbigskycarnival:
Name: Kathrine Terwell
Age: 19
Hometown: Fuchsia City, Kanto.

Personality: Kathrine is not your friend. Unless you have beaten her in a battle, own a powerful poison type or are giving her money or free meals, she is not your friend and probably will not talk much to you. She just doesn't like to be social, unfortunately. She's also ambitious, and confident that her pokemon. Her pokemon reflect on her confidence, fighting brutally to intimidate the opponent. She is a scowling, bitter trainer who is in it to win it and prove to the world that the poison type is nothing to underestimate.

History: She's lived in Fuchsia city for most of her life, the only child of a single dad, training the pokemon that were common in the area among some of the best users of poison types in the region. It's no wonder where she got the affinity for them, really. By the time she was 15, she was acknowledged throughout the city as one of the the best up and coming poison specialists around, and she graduated from the local trainers school with top marks. She was a happier person then, talkative and kind to others. On the night after her graduation, though, there was an accident. As he was way home from his job at the Poke'mart, her father was mugged and killed by a gang of Rocket members.

It took her a while to get over the grief, and by then she had changed completely into the silent, bitter trainer she is today. She left Fuchsia to travel the world, training her pokemon and capturing more, eventually working with the Solacion daycare system to breed a special team of poison type pokemon, wich she has raised with uncharacteristic love and devotion. Three members of this team have accompanied her to the Big Sky carnival, witch she heard about on a trip to Veilstone for a supplies run.

Pokemon #1:
Name: Kyora (Kyo for short)
Species: Crobat
Sex: female
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Impatient
Hold Item: Lum Berry.

Battle style: She makes full use of the Hypnosis move she was born with and her blistering speed to put a foe to sleep before it can even move. If the situation is dire, She can U-turn in and out for one last quick attack before swapping places with someone who can better take the retaliation. Kyo is incredibly fast, but a bit fragile, so she'll only go in close for attacks if the foe is slow, weak to one of her stronger attacks like Air slash, steel wing or bite, or fast asleep from hypnosis. She is also Kathrine's main defense against Ground type pokemon that would pose her a problem, being able to latch onto them and use Giga Drain for heavy damage while avoiding their ground type moves completely. Like the rest of her team, she can use Toxic

Athletic stat: Speed
Contest stat: Cool
Other info: Kyo is the only one of Kathrine's pokemon that is commonly seen out of it's ball, usually roosting on her shoulder. Kyo is actually more friendly to other trainers then her own trainer is, and in a big and exiting area like the Big Sky island, she's taken to flitting around excitedly, greeting other pokemon and sitting on other trainer's heads that she takes a liking too, much to the disdain of her trainer simply because it means she probably has to talk to whoever Kyo is sitting on.

Kyo is the youngest of Kathrine's entire team, and hasn't seen much of the world compared to the others. She is adventurous and eager to see and observe everything she can lay her eyes on. She, like the rest of the team, is competitive, and flexes her amazing speed skills in pokeathalon competitions, bringing home prizes. She doesn't have much, if any, contest experience simply because it's not really Kathrine's "thing"

Pokemon #2:
Name: Aggie
Species: Gengar
Sex: female
Ability: levitate
Nature: Trollish.
Hold Item: Life orb

Battle style: lolumad? Aggie does what she does best, trap a foe that would have problems against her moves with Mean Look and them attack quickly and with vicious power behind it. Her life orb puts her battling on a timer, where the countdown is how long she can last out against it sapping her health, so she is devoted to putting out as much rage-enduing madness as she can before exploding there at the end with.. well you guessed it, explosion. Aggie has a wide array of special attacks at her disposal, from Thunderbolt to Shadowball. Like the rest of her team, she can use Toxic .
Athletic stat: Skill
Contest stat: Smart
Other info: Aggie wants to make you rage. That's basically it. She's a pretty runty gengar, size wise, but she's faster for it in battle and harder to hit. Kathrine cant really let her out of her ball often because as soon as she has some free time, Aggie will go off to make people cry with pranks and by stealing people's important things (term papers, wedding rings, baby pacifiers, etc.)

Needless to say, she's clever, and uses that to her advantage in Pokeathalon and contests.

Pokemon #3:
Name: Mortella
Species: Drapion
Sex: female
Ability: Sniper
Nature: Uncaring
Hold Item: scope lense

Battle style: Demolisher. Being immune to the psychic attacks that would normally cripple a poison type pokemon is a huge boon to her and her entire team. Her blows are accurate and cause major damage when they hit critically, and her reach with attacks is suprisingly long. She isnt as fast as the rest of the team, but Mortella can take a hit much better, and can deal out the punishment by the truckload. Common moves she uses are Earthquake, Night slash and fire fang. Like the rest of her team, she can use Toxic.

Athletic stat: Power
Contest stat: Tough

Other info: Mortella is generally the most sensable, yet least interested of all Kathrine's present pokemon. She takes things slower, thinks more on the situation, and is generally more laid back. Mortella is, however, generally unfriendly and is not to be touched. Keep your small children and cute furry pokemon away from her, because she is easily annoyed. She's the oldest of the present team, and is generally uninterested in the goings-on of the event besides the battles themselves.

Mortella will crush you. Don't make her crush you.

Very nice nickname for her Gengar. I see what you did there.
I have a feeling my 3 Gengar's would take a liking to her, especially my youngest one, Rictus.
